The first detective novel concering Singapore life and culture and of which we have become aware is Jake Needham's The Ambassador's Wife, a Samuel Tay mystery. Like his other novels, The Ambassador's Wife is a very exciting read. It also gives us a glimpse of an area of the world few of us are likely to visit.
